00:00] Hello! And welcome to Move Into Coherence. I’m your host, Pamela Stokes. In today’s episode we’ll be doing an EFT tapping script. This script that we’re doing today is called Overwhelm to Calm. And the reason why I’m bringing this up is oftentimes we feel like there’s too many things to do; so many things to do; we don’t have enough time; and we can’t get them done; and then we feel bad that we didn’t get them done. And the reason why this script is helpful is to bring us back to a state of calm—to a state of ease and inner peace—and then things aren’t so overwhelming, and we actually can kind of stretch time. And what I’d like to do is to introduce to you the “official” way of doing the EFT Tapping using all of the acupoints in the EFT Tapping protocol given by Dawson Church or, if you’re looking at Nick Ortner’s work, he uses the same procedure. Now we’ve done these EFT Tappings before, and normally we would just use our hand underneath our collarbones. But today we’re going to be doing all the points, so I’ll be telling you where those points are as we’re doing the script, and you can follow along. So let’s get into it.

[01:36] OVERWHELM TO CALM

Say to yourself, I’m so overwhelmed, and tune into your body, and notice where you feel it, and give it a rating of how strong that feeling is from zero to 10—10 being the strongest. And now we’ll take three calming breaths through the nose and deep into the lungs—inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, and exhale. And we’ll begin by using the side of the hand—on the pinky side of the hand—and tap that side with the other hand, a few fingers from the other hand, gently tapping, as we say the following. Repeat after me.

Even though I’m so overwhelmed, I love, accept, and forgive myself.

Even though my body feels all this overwhelm, I choose to accept how I feel.

Even though this feeling of overwhelm is weighing me down, I’m willing to accept myself and feel calm now.

These feelings of overwhelm

I feel them in my body

I feel them in my mind

There’s so much to do

And part of me feels like I have to get it all done

So much pressure

To get it all done

All these feelings in my body

Thinking about all I have to do

And acknowledging the pressure

On my mind and body

Sometimes this overwhelm feels out of control

My list is endless

Just so much to do

I don’t know how I’m going to find the time

It’s all up to me

It feels like Ill never be able to get it all done

All this pressure to get it all done

Feeling it in my body

Acknowledging this feeling in my body

Feeling it in my body

All this pressure

I really want to change this

What if I can find some relief

I’m ready to find a way to feel calm

I’m willing to release this pressure

I know I will be more effective coming from a calm place

When I let go of the pressure

I have more resources

I’m more creative

I have more patience

Choosing to feel calm now

Feeling calmer gives me choices

I choose to breathe deeply

Letting go of all this stress

Allowing myself to feel calm

Teaching my body how to relax

When I’m calm, time is on my side

Allowing myself to feel calm now

To release all these thoughts

To let go of all the ways I put pressure on myself

Feeling calm and confident

Knowing all is well

Releasing any events memories, ideas, or thoughts

That are putting pressure on myself

Letting them go

Feeling safe in my body

Feeling relaxed in my body

Letting it all go

[10:52] And now take another nice breath, deep into the lungs through the nose. Inhale small and then bigger, and then a sigh of relief, Mmmmmmm. And now, check in again with your body and notice what it feels like when you say the words I’m so overwhelmed, and give it a rating. Perhaps you’ve noticed that it has decreased. Continue as needed. Thank you.

We did this script today—Overwhelm to Calm–because oftentimes we can feel pretty overwhelmed with all the things that we want to get done in a day. Give yourself a break, do this script, and you’ll feel a lot more ease around the things that you do need to get done. You’ll have more creative ability. You’ll feel calmer. And the pressure won’t be there. It’s a much easier place to come from when you’re trying to get things accomplished.

Thanks for joining in today, and send yourself some appreciation for doing so. This has been Move Into Coherence. I’m Pamela Stokes. Take it easy. ☺️
